The Leadership Leap:

Now Without Crash Landings

Me avoiding a crash landing!

After a deeply personal exploration phase I leaped into the void of the unknown,

took on a new role and challenged myself on multiple levels. As I continue to navigate this unfamiliar landscape, The Leadership Leap has become a powerful companion. It helps me reflect on the steps I’ve taken since Sarah’s leadership program and offers guidance when I stumble or face unexpected challenges.

Besides offering guidance down a treacherous path, Sarah's words convey a strong and powerful message as to why it is important to find your purpose, lead from your core and be courageous about it. The call for action is loud and clear. We have more power to act or voice concerns than we give ourselves credit for.

The book has been written with great care and contains a lot of wisdom. I love the formatting and how it's tailored to specific personality types and characteristics, it makes me delve deeper and helps me to explore, understand and grow into my own leadership style every time I turn a page. I feel this is my "go to", my very own philosophical and practical treasure trove! I actually believe that I might be able to avoid a terrible crashlanding with this book as my guide.

It so gracefully acknowledges all parts of ourselves

I just finished my first reading of your book The Leadership Leap.

We have never met, but I have a feeling I see you. I feel the fire of your inner passion and vision for future leadership, the enormous power in words and between the lines, the dedication for standing for humanity/inclusion/connection.

This book is full of wisdom, knowledge and guidance for embracing the glory of diversity, knowing yourself and others in order to have compassion and give guidance for our dragons.

It so gracefully acknowledges all parts of ourselves & others to find the strength and guidance from them.

I can truly see the love and care you put into it. You have expressed so well how no circumstances, events and people can have power over us unless we let it. We have the keys to create a safe environment, for ourselves and others.

The compassion, empathy, humanity is to be felt in every paragraph. Your words do not leave a doubt for what you stand and fight for. There is so much beauty and resonance from survival into empowerement. Being resourceful in face of uncertainty.

Have you ever read a book that made you feel truly seen?

Have you ever read a book that made you feel truly seen?

Or change the way you think?

I’m reading the book by Sarah Gruneisen 🐉 , and I’m blown away by the love and expertise she poured into it.

I felt seen from the first words.

Inspired to challenge my inner status quo, lean into discomfort, and find my voice.

Because it matters not just for me - it affects everyone around me.

Our influence is greater than we think.

Sarah invites us to understand ourselves as leaders, uncover limiting beliefs, and lead from our core with courage.

“Leadership isn’t just a set of skills, it’s an unrelenting mirror. It reflects your strengths, yes, but also your blind spots, biases and insecurities.”

She shares real stories of being a woman in tech, a mom, and stepping into leadership - the struggles, turning points, and lessons learned through trial and error.

It’s a vivid and honest guide to navigating the messy transition from engineering to management.

Faaaar from easy!

So many people shared the same thing with me - you feel confident about coding, getting specific results and measuring your progress in a specific way.

But things become messy when you get into management.

You start working with people a lot, the path is vague and it’s not easy to measure your real influence and contribution.

How to empower others to do their best work?

Every chapter invites to reflect, reframe, and take action.

Loove it and keep reading (also to understand my techies better)

❓ I'm curious which book has ever made you feel truly seen or changed the way you think?

Wisdom, clarity, and inspiration — always within reach.

I love this book! Having attended Sarah’s truly life-changing Leadership Landing Program, it feels like I now get to keep her wisdom by my side. Sometimes I open to a chapter for a quick reminder, other times I settle in to read cover to cover. Every page carries Sarah’s trademark heart and insight. Inspiring, practical, and full of love — I’m all in, and you will be too.

Life lessons and the class continues!

I met Sarah at a point where I had hit the greatest plateau. One so big it felt this is what the rest of my life is going to look like. I wasn't sure if I had what it takes to lead and personal leadership wasn't even on my radar. Sarah's work gave me a way forward and the space she created in those classes made it possible to learn and practice without BS. This book reminds of the classes and I can forever walk with the lessons.

I am so loving the urgency

The leadership Leap is my Mount Kilimanjaro.

So I am loving the urgency ,  and as you know,  our values,  life purpose and deep belief in the need for us to inject kindness and love into the world and create the leaders humanity so desperately needs.

I love the incredible intelligence - both emotional and cognitive that you wrap with compassion and purpose.

Here is the thing.  I used to think,  I am a great leader.   But great leaders don’t ordinarily go around thinking they are great.

The prologue alone reminds me that it is not about me being a great leader,  but about using my lifetime of experiences and learnings to help as many people as possible make the leadership leap.

So I love the urgency,  the reasoning and the powerful prose that speaks to me. The indelible message that inclusivity is not optional for us to survive.

I am not so impressed with your cognitive IQ as,  that has little to do with you,  and I see that and saw that in you from day 1.  But your emotional IQ is also off the charts.  And your EQ fascinates me.   I believe my EQ has reached a level where I can learn from your (and generally others) experiences. Your story and all the events in it,  seem to have been necessary for the incredible impact you are having on all those who encounter you with an open mind.

I love the call to action - and the slightly teasing reverse psychology to encourage readers to keep going - at their pace,  but to keep going and pushing forward to learn the lessons our dragons can teach us.

I loved your characterisation of AI - and the evil and Machiavellian behaviours short term thinking enables.

And of course we both share the view that AI must be human led ai assisted.

And finally - the prologue informs me that this book is written by someone that has first hand experience of the barriers to inclusivity and innovation.  The natural tendency of humans to be wary of change.

Long answer - but I hope you can feel the deep appreciation and love I send your way for writing this book (despite your own challenges ),  creating the course ,  and encouraging me to stay the course of this beautiful journey.

I have started to read your book a second time

I have started to read your book a second time (reading chapter 3 currently).

Chapter 2: If Gabor Maté opened my eyes for understanding my husband's and brothers' addictions better (let alone my and others' so called everyday attachments to xyz), you opened my understanding for the world of my engineer husband with autism. I had no idea how challenging it can be to navigate in corporate life as an engineer. That amplified with autism and special giftedness makes a complex cocktail for relationships and leadership both at and out of work. Add a couple of traumatising events...well, the pressure kettle is ready.

For me chapter 2 opens new possibilities to understand my husband's behaviour, which has been a huge mystery for me, for years. It will challenge my patterns of responding for sure. For my delight I have intuitively done a good job to some extend for the past years. But I see areas where I can still improve.

Chapter 3 brought chills, emotions, resonance with me. It is almost creepy how much your path, conditioning, struggle, feelings and insights are same as mine.

I was as good as alone bringing up our son and felt the divorce he had brought to our marriage. Whenever he was at home, I had 2 children in my hands. It is unbelievable what I have put up with - from him and me. So ultimately devoted that I totally disassociated from red flags and beated myself for adapting even more.

I am sure a lot of women can relate to your story one or another way. The vulnerability you bring with your honest and open story touches deeply. Yes, you really have put your mind, heart and soul at exposal. And I can only admire you for your courage.

Maybe to be continued with other chapters later on...
